Hi Dennis,

I think I may have an issue with recorded TV programmes after the last update.
After updating to version 1.6.3.0, the recorded TV programmes added to the database have incorrect durations. Many recently recorded episodes are shown with duration of 1 minute 05 seconds and with a size of 95.5 MBs within the programme database listings. They are actually 30-90+ minutes (Screenshot attached).
The server only allows playback of the first 65 seconds from within BubbleUPnP & MX Player Pro.
This is for a DVR-MS file recorded under Windows MCE2005 (XP)
Get file information gives:

So the duration is OK. The file play for the full duration when accessed normally or across network sharing in MX Player Pro, so it doesn't appear to be the file or playback.

Hi Chris,

Thanks for the information - it all looks ok.

Can you please try this - delete this file from KRR and then update the folder and see if the duration is correct or not.

Do you have real-time updating enabled on the folder or is it scheduled? I wonder if the folder is being updated while the file is being written and thus it's not complete at that time.

Hi Dennis,

Good question. Before the version update I changed the database to update automatically in real time. I previously had it updating every few hours, but after I added some music to the server I found this caused the PC to stutter video playback when an update was taking place (processor is an Intel T5500, so dual core but not amazingly powerful).

Removing the files and updating them shows that the duration is 38:56 and the file size is 934MB.
So I will need to experiment with the updating to set a longer update time and whether current files are updated.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Regards,
Chris.

Hi Chris,

You may want to turn off "Update disk folders while streaming" available under Tools -> Options -> Advanced. This will make sure that folders are only updated when you are not streaming and thus won't cause extra CPU usage.
